Spring Yoga Retreat – A Celebration of Life

Come join Carol Barry in beautiful Hot Springs, North Carolina for our spring yoga retreat, at the peaceful Laughing Heart Lodge. Step away from the present and escape to a place where you can just be “you” for a weekend. The theme of this retreat is “Springtime: A Celebration of Life.” Join Mother Nature as she awakens from her long winterʼs nap and be a part of the dance. Sing with the birds, blossom with the flowers, flow with the river, let the warmth of the sun breathe new life into your whole being. Join together with fellow yogis in welcoming Sweet Springtime!
The weekend will have a balance of meaningful meditations, yoga practices (suitable for all levels), group meals, and free time. A group hike (optional) is planned for Saturday, in which we will incorporate yoga and meditation as a part of our celebration of spring. Hot tubs will be reserved for us on our return, should you desire a soak in the warm, healing, mineral waters. Heated deep within the earth, these crystal carbonated waters are famous for their mineral content and legendary healing powers. The water comes to the surface through “natural” fracturing. In the East only 3 thermal springs qualify as “hot springs”: Hot Springs, Arkansas, Hot Springs, Virginia, and Hot Springs, NC. This is only one of the offerings this special place has to offer.

- Walking the labyrinth
- Soaking in the hot mineral waters
- “Special needs” yoga instruction
- Treating yourself to a specialized massage with our on-staff masseuse
- Browsing through the shops and galleries
- Simply lying in the hammock reading a book
- Exploring the Appalachian Trail
- Enjoying local music

3:00 – 5:00 – Check-In and getting acquainted
6:00 – Dinner in the dining room
7:30 – Candlelight yoga and meditation in the Chapel: Becoming mindful of our needs, and setting our intentions for the weekend.
7:00 – Coffee and Tea and light snack available in dining room
7:30 – 9:30 oga Practice in the chapel: “The Joy of Being”
9:45 – Brunch in the dining room
11:00 – 3:00 – Guided scenic hike (optional)
3:00 – 5:00 – Hot tubs will be reserved for those who wish to soak. Soak time per tub is 1 hour. Also time for other options, including special yoga instruction.
6:00 – Social hour
6:30 – Dinner in the Dining Room; Vegetarian entree on request
8:00 – 9:30 – Yoga Practice in Chapel; “Spring Cleaning: Practice for cleansing my body, mind, and soul”
9:45 – Light breakfast
